THANK YOU TO OUR DONORS!

The Saskatoon Preschool Foundation, established in 1994, continues to provide tuition subsidies to families for whom the costs of preschool are prohibitive.  In the past five years, the Foundation has enabled over 450 preschool-age children to benefit from early childhood learning opportunities for a total of $340,000 in preschool tuition subsidies.  Although the number of children attending preschool decreased during the past 2 years due to Covid-19, SPF continued to support many children and families through the Tuition Subsidy program. This has been due, primarily, to the generous support of our donors.

The Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon has provided our first grant for 2022 in the amount of $10,000. We are very appreciative of their decision to support preschool tuition subsidies.  At an average of $780/subsidy, this grant will provide approximately 12 children with the opportunity to participate in an early learning program and significantly increase their likelihood of success in life.  Their recent grant of $10,000 brings their grant total in the last 10 years to over $25,000.

Nutrien (formerly Potash Corp) has been a committed funding partner for many years. With their most recent donation of $7,000 in December 2021, they have contributed over $100,000, since 1996. In addition, Nutrien also matches employee donations to the SPF.  The SPF Board wishes to recognize Nutrien as a consistent Gold Level Donor, and express sincere appreciation to Nutrien for their generosity and support for children and families in our community for many years.

We are pleased, and very grateful, to report that SPF has been a recipient of a significant one-time grant of $10,000 from the United Way of Saskatoon and Area’s Community Initiative Fund, through the Saskatoon Collaborative Funding Partnership.  We extend our sincere appreciation to the United Way for supporting the Preschool Tuition Subsidy Program in 2021 so that more children will be able to attend preschool and benefit from this early childhood education opportunity.  Thank you for supporting families and children in our community.

SPF has also recently received a generous one-time grant of $4,000 from the Affinity Credit Union, Saskatoon District Council. We very much appreciate this contribution towards the Preschool Tuition Subsidy Program in 2021 which will support families in accessing preschool for their children.  Thank you for assisting us in our goal to give children in our community a brighter future.

Thank you, also, to the many other companies, organizations, and individuals for their support of Foundation through the years.  A complete list of our donors can be found in our Annual Report.
